Challenge

A large portal wanted regular visitors and members to reach news and other updates from their desktop without navigating back to the website for every interaction. RSS was already available but had not achieved the desired adoption.

Approach

Batoi created separate toolbar implementations for Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox because the browsers used different extension technologies. The toolbars connected members with portal content, account access, and personal settings.

This is a historical browser-era implementation. Its current portfolio alignment is with the Build and Engineering Foundations responsibilities of Batoi Platform.

Outcome

Members gained a quicker route to frequently used content and applications. They could also manage supported login and content-access settings from the toolbar instead of starting each task from the portal home page.
