PROBLEM STATEMENT
MIS software systems for different government departments were located
in different locations with different data structures and technologies,
even without APIs. Also, the administrators followed different system
management practices.
SOLUTION AND APPROACH
Open Source tools and libraries were used as the resulting
system was envisaged to be deployed in NIC (National Informatics
Center). Batoi Build was used for the purpose along with the D3
visualization library.
Maps were obtained from the government and was converted to web
spatial-format.
The source code was audited for security and dependencies, and
was then handed over to the government department for manual
installation without intervention of Batoi Build deployment agent.
MySQL security is evaluated and monitored from the Access
Control List (or ACL) for all connections. Necessary steps are
taken to prevent SQL injection attack on the application.
