Cyber security is a major challenge being faced by the corporate world today. Not only big organisations, but small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) also face the same security threats with smaller budgets and fewer resources.
In order to be better positioned to address cyber threats, SMEs need to be equipped with skills that include know how on compliance, physical environmental protection, risk assessment, access controls, incident management, monitoring, backup, and malware identification.
To discuss on how SMEs can tackle cyber threat and compliance challenges, a roundtable was organised by Nasscom on June 29, 2018, at the corporate office of Batoi in Bhubaneswar. The basis of the roundtable revolved around discussing the cyber threat landscape and the challenges SMEs face around compliance, social networking, mobile devices, educating/training the users, and how to apply best practice.
