GlobalSign (www.globalsign.com), one of the longest established Certification Authorities (CA) and specialists in SSL Partner Programs, announced today that Batoi (www.batoi.com), a leading Indian cloud Service Provider, has joined the GlobalSign Partner Program, enabling the company to provide GlobalSign SSL Certificates to their extensive customer base. The partnership will allow Batoi to promote the SSL technology in India and educate website owners and end users on the necessity of securing data exchanged online.
As a global provider of IT solutions and services in the Cloud, Batoi will capitalise on years of expertise in the Indian hosting market to promote the use of the SSL technology. The demand for SSL Certificates has increased by 97% in the past two years as users recognise the need to secure their websites, transactions, logins, and other online services. As well as securing sensitive information by encrypting all data sent to the server, SSL Certificates also help increase end user trust by visibly displaying the name of the organisation behind the website, the security padlock, and https in the address bar, thus preventing phishing attacks.
Batoi will add the SSL technology to its portfolio as a standalone product and the technology will be available to its customer base directly from their control panel. Batoi will be offering GlobalSign's full range of SSL Certificates, including fast issuance Domain Validated SSL, traditional Organisation Validated SSL and the Extended Validation (EV) SSL, which activates the green address bar in the latest browsers. All GlobalSign SSL Certificates have the option of including additional premium features such as Wildcard and multi-domain options and are issued from GlobalSign's widely distributed 2048 bit Root CA Certificate.
