OBJECTIVE

For the recruitment process:

1
Provisioning a scalable server platform.
2
Custom application for data management.

PROBLEM STATEMENTS

1
Data transaction volumes created a bottleneck for the existing server infrastructure & data management process in the existing software application.
2
The system had multiple input interfaces - from a third-party vendor to bulk-upload data into the system & for internal users to add meta-data.

SOLUTION AND APPROACH

1
The application used open source Cloud Application Framework, Opendelight. A DevSecOps pipe was configured within Batoi Cloud infrastructure.
2
The application was provisioned with bulk-upload facility for the third-party vendor, data management interface for organizational users, automation in the data validation process with pre-defined rulesets, a public interface for applicants to download their examination documents and dashboards for different executive roles to visualize and audit recruitment process and to download reports into spreadsheets.
3
A Virtual Machine (VM) was provisioned, equipped with auto-scale tools, so that spikes in usage during bulk imports & mass download of documents by the applicants does not impact the performance of the software application.
4
A document was created and provided for the users to manage the system effectively and the best practices for reference.
5
A training session was also conducted on-premises.
6
An account manager and a technical consultant were assigned from Batoi during the entire duration of the project for smooth coordination among teams (Batoi, customer & the third-party data vendor), conflict resolution around user requirements & training/support for effective usage of the software & cloud infrastructure.

BENEFITS FOR THE CUSTOMER

1
The new computing infrastructure prevented the application from crashing during instances of heavy downloads.
2
Data integration process was improved and saved almost 40% of manual effort.
