A Domain Name for example 'batoi.com' is a name based identifier for internet resources. The Domain Name is available with a Top Level Extension like '.com', '.net' etc., which is called TLD (Top Level Domain). The domain naming process is hierarchical and it goes from right to left. The right most string of text after the dot is the TLD. In many cases, the second from the right is generic and are considered as the part of the Domain Name extension like '.co.in' or '.com.mx'. The consequent portion after the dot is the unique name that a user can purchase under a TLD.

Before you register a Domain Name you must check its availability with a Whois lookup tool. Batoi also offers a public Whois lookup at whois.batoi.com. It may be understood that during the process of registration of a Domain Name, Batoi Cloud System checks if it is available for registration and alerts you otherwise.

You need to make the payment along with the order placement for Domain Name registration.
Once you register a Domain Name, you cannot change it. However, you can register a new Domain Name of your choice. Please note that you cannot cancel a Domain Name before its validity period ends. However, Batoi keeps the right to suspend a Domain Name if it does not fall in the purview of legal framework associated with the Domain Name governance or if the customer fails in adhering to requisite payment formalities.
Your Domain Name registration is valid for a period that it is registered for and it is notified to you at the time of registration. It may be understood that a Domain Name can usually be registered for a period of 1-10 years (in increment of 1 year). While some Domain Names have lesser number of years as period and 2 years as increment period. You may find the details at the Pricing Page.
You avail tools to manage the Contact Details, Name Servers, DNS and Privacy (though it is free now it may be chargeable in future and if available for the respective TLD for your Domain Name.
You can manage your Domain Name details from within your Domain Name control panel.
No. We do not have facility for parking Domain Names that are registered with another Registrar.
After a Domain Name expires, it can no longer be used for viewing you website. You can renew the Domain Name within 15 days (sometimes up to 45 days), after the expiry date. Please contact Batoi Support for it. You then need to go through a restoration process if the period after expiry goes beyond the above. Almost in cases, the Domain Names will not be available for restoration after 60 days and as per ICANN Policy, they may be available in the open market for registration. You may place a back order for a particular Domain Name that has expires and is not available for restoration and that will increase the probability of getting your desired Domain Name.
A Domain Name is broadly classified into having 6 different statuses. 'Active', 'Suspended' or 'Cancelled' during the period of validity, after expiry 'Expired', or 'Available for Restoration'. Otherwise the Domain Name has a 'Free' status.

You can setup custom Name Servers for your Domain Name(s) registered with Batoi by managing its Child Name Servers. Usually, you encounter this requirement when you host with private server(s).
Batoi has partnered with different Registrars to make wider array of domain TLDs available for its customers. If a Domain Name is registered directly with these Registrars or through a Reseller of these Registrars, then you can move the Domain Name. Otherwise, you need to go through a formal transfer process for a Domain Name.
Usually Domain Name transfer involves a few authentication steps, where authentication request goes to the email addresses available in the admin contacts associated with the Domain Name and an Authorization Code (Domain Secret Key) to successfully process such requests. So the restrictions would be encountered when you do not have the Authorization Code or access to the right email addresses. Moreover, many Registrars have a method to lock or unlock a Domain Name against its transfer. In that case, the domain holder needs to unlock the Domain Name before initiating the transfer process.
It may be understood that Registrars usually restrict a Domain Name against a summary restriction against any transfer within 45-60 days after the registration of a new Domain Name.

No. You cannot transfer an expired Domain Name. You must have an active Domain Name (should renew if it has expired), to initiate the transfer process to Batoi.
It may take up to 1-5 days for a Domain Name transfer to complete.
You can change your Domain Name's Administrative Contact email address from within your Domain Name control panel. You may refer to the help article on how to change contact details for my domain name for more details.
You can access the Authorization Code for your Domain Name registered with Batoi from within your Domain Name control panel. You may refer to the help article on how to transfer a domain name for more details. For Domain Names registered with other Registrars, you may contact them.
You may note the Authorization Code for your Domain Name registered with Batoi from within your Domain Name control panel or you may contact Batoi Support if you need any assistance. After that you can initiate the transfer process from the side of your new service provider.

Domain Privacy is a mode for a Domain Name, where Whois lookup results for it would show dummy contact details thereby masking the real owner of the Domain Name.
Domain Privacy can be enabled from within your Domain Name control panel (can be disabled there too). You may refer to the help article on how to handle privacy protection for a Domain Name for more details. Currently, the service is free, though it may be chargeable in future.
Not all TLDs allow this. You may look at the Pricing Page to know which specific TLDs support Privacy mode. The TLDs having support for Privacy are marked with a lock sign in green.
If Privacy is supported for the Domain Name, it can be enabled as long as you need.
Whois database is a central data store with Contact Details and Name Server information for the Domain Name. For Domain Names where Privacy is enabled, this information is not made public.
ICANN and Domain Name database companies come up with new TLDs on a regular basis to cater to an ever increasing market need.
Before a new extension (TLD) is generally available for public, you can go ahead and apply for booking a particular Domain Name under that TLD. This is called pre-registration. Please note that a pre-registered Domain Name will only be active after the TLD is generally available.
Though it is usually assured, in certain cases, it will be prerogative of the TLD provider to approve it.
Usually the TLD provider has a Domain Name database to verify against, while you do pre-registration. So the duplicity is eliminated there.
Yes. You pay the requisite fee for the Domain Name during pre-registration.
Yes. You can cancel, but you will not get the refund for the payment made.

A Premium Domain Name is a popular or SEO friendly Domain Name that is previously registered with an owner and may be available for transferring its ownership with a cost as approved by the current Domain Name owner. Batoi has a number of Domain Name under its and its partner's ownership. You may enquire for further details at Batoi Support Desk.
Premium Domain Names are kept by the domain owners for varying periods and in most cases with pre-existing traffic. As a lot of investment must have gone to retain such domain names, there is an additional cost for Premium Domain Names compared to normal Domain Names.
The cost of a Premium Domain Name depends on the pricing details as given by the domain name owner.
Batoi and its partners own Premium Domain Names.
A Premium Domain Name has an age and may have considerable pre-existing traffic at its DNS. It would be advisable to go for these Domain Names rather than a fresh one. This will help in building targeted traffic for your new website with the Premium Domain Name and will improve the SEO relevance at search engines.
